Inpatient Services

Sinai offers a broad array of inpatient programs to individuals suffering from catastrophic illness or injury. We offer complex medical management, pulmonary care and rehabilitation, critical care, acute rehabilitation, as well as cardiac and cancer care. Our specialized services include Dialysis (Hemo/PD), Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cardiac Telemetry, Respiratory Care and Ventilator Management. Sinai has certified oncology nurses on staff who are able to administer select chemotherapy agents. Pain management and rehabilitation as well as emotional support are offered patients on our oncology unit.

Medical Staff

Sinai's 24-hour physician presence and over 250 full-time and consulting physicians assure Sinai patients the medical care they need for recovery. Our multi-specialty medical staff includes physiatrists (rehabilitation physicians), endocrinologists, pulmonologists, neurologists, cardiologists, oncologists, rheumatologists, urologists, as well as specialists in internal and geriatric medicine. With the best human and technological resources, we provide outstanding care to those who face intense medical and rehabilitative challenges.

As a major teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine, Sinai is a rotation site for Tuft's pulmonary and critical care fellows as well as the home base of the residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Tufts-affiliated pulmonary and critical care physicians and fellows keep Sinai at the forefront of pulmonary medicine.

Inpatient Satellites

With a reputation for excellence, Sinai has created a 30-bed inpatient satellite in association with Tufts-New England Medical Center.  Within this renowned medical center, the Sinai family provides post-acute care to medically complex and acute rehabilitation patients, many of whom are admitted directly from the ICU.

Sinai’s newest Inpatient Satellite at Caritas Carney Hospital is fully staffed with attending pulmonologists and internal medicine physicians, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, nurses, physical and occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists. This new 25-bed pulmonary and complex medical unit now provides outstanding care to more patients in the Boston area.
