Ashley Belyea is January Employee of the Month
Ashley Belyea, Dietary Technician at New England Sinai Hospital, has been named the January 2012 Employee of the Month. She joined Sinai in July 2005.
The Sinai Employee of the Month is chosen from nominations made by hospital staff, patients, and family members. Nominees demonstrate a "Sinai Cares" philosophy in their everyday work lives and are known for a high level of service, integrity and leadership. A committee of administrators and employees makes the final selection from those nominated.
Since joining Sinai as a Kitchen Aide at age 16, Ashley has shown a sincere interest in working with patients. At an age when most people would be more interested in having fun instead of building a career, she worked hard and took her role very seriously, cross training to learn something about every job in the Hospital's Nutritional Services Department. Her dedication and commitment earned her a promotion to Dietary Technician.
Ashley's supervisor Tom Wagstaff, Director of Nutritional Services, says, "Ashley understands that good food can be as healing as good medicine; she has genuine interest in discussing menus with our patients and doing whatever she can to make them more comfortable. Patients adore her and look forward to seeing her."
