Hearing Program

Hearing loss affects daily activities of an individual, as well as family and friends. That's why at Sinai, our goal is to educate people about their hearing loss so that their daily living will be easier. We recommend hearing devices and teach strategies to help each patient with his or her communication.

When hearing loss is suspected, Sinai offers full evaluations which identify specific hearing needs, and those who need hearing aids are referred to the appropriate hearing aid dispensers.

Children with hearing loss or an auditory processing disorder have specific educational needs. Our audiologist works through the child's education team to ensure that communication skills are addressed in the classroom environment.

Audiology Services at Sinai are provided by a licensed audiologist trained in detecting the severity and type of hearing impairment, as well as the best method of handling the loss.
