Our CARF certified Outpatient Amputee Rehablitation Program provids a patient/family-focused program of education that emphasizes each patient's unique strengths, abilities and preferences with the goal of maximizing the patient's level of functional independence.

Hyperbaric Center at Sinai

The Center's Team evaluates patients to determine their appropriateness for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOY). HBOT is the medical use of oxygen at 2-3 times normal atmospheric pressure to reach organs and tissues damages by injury or disease. Candidates who may be eligible to receive HBOT include: *Diabetic Foot Ulcers *Osteoradionecrosis *Compromised Flaps/Grafts *Chronic, Refractory Osteomyelitis *Soft Tissue Radionecrosis *Peripheral Artery Disease

Nutrition and Weight Management
We offer individualized nutritional counseling, including weight management,
diabetes management, pediatric nutrition, and heart-healthy diets.
Occupational Therapy
Our skilled occupational therapists help people regain , strengthen, or compensate for weakened abilities to care for themselves and to participate in satisfying daily activities. This is accomplished through the use of exercises and work and leisure activities. Goals are identified by the patient and their family in consultation with the occupational therapist. Treatment plans focus on achieving realistic goals that increase function and participation.

Prosthetic Clinic
The Prosthetic Clinic is available to all patients who have experienced
an amputation. Each patient is evaluated by a Physiatrist, a certified
prosthetist and a physical therapist.

Sleep HealthCenters®, a network of specialized
sleep medicine centers, in affiliation with New England Sinai Hospital
provides patients with comprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment
of sleep disorders. The Center offers medical consultations, sleep studies,
treatment options, including such devices as CPAP (Continuous Positive
Airway Pressure), education and follow-up care. It addresses sleep disorders
such as insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), excessive daytime sleepiness,
narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome and more. Contact with a patient's own
referring physician is maintained throughout the process, and services
are covered by most insurance plans. The facility's bedrooms are designed
like hotel rooms, offering patients privacy in a noise-free environment
with a private bath, full-size bed, and a TV. In the morning following
sleep studies, patient's are offered a continental breakfast before going

Speech-Language and Hearing
Our personalized programs are designed for children and adults who experience speech, swallowing, and hearing difficulties. All speech-language pathologists are certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed by the State of Massachusetts.

Wound Center
The Wound Center at Sinai is a comprehensive outpatient program that combines the latest in treatment, education, and support to promote healing. The Wound Center benefits many patients who need specialized wound care treatment provided by a highly skilled team of physicians and nurses who are expert in chronic wound care. Types of wounds treated in the Center include: diabetes ulcers; leg and foot ulcers; pressure ulcers (bed sores); open surgical wounds; traumatic wounds; and other chronic wounds.
