Rose Kalman Research Center

The Rose Kalman Research Center, is one of only two LTAC research centers in the United States. Under the direction of the Chief of Pulmonary Medicine Dr. Alexander C. White , The Research Center is breaking new ground in clinical research related to pulmonary disease and rehabilitation. The research is clinically based and aims to improve outcomes of patients who are chronically critically ill.
By having the Research Center available at the hospital, Sinai physicians can apply the outcomes of their research directly to their patients, processes, and care plans.
In addition to Dr. White, the Center's staff members include attending doctors Heidi H. O'Connor MD and Saraswathi Muppana, MD, Bernard Joseph MD, research assistant, Joanne Grandfield PA and Karen Eardley, Administrator.
Our Research Center serves to strengthen Sinai's recognized leadership in advancing long-term acute care.
