Why Work at Sinai

Why_Work_at_sinai

What do people discover when they come to work at Sinai?  Opportunities for career advancement.  A friendly environment.  Reward and recognition.  And one of the best working environments in southeastern Massachusetts.  The number of employees who stay with us for ten, twenty, and even thirty years is a testament to the kind of work environment we cultivate at Sinai.

As a long-term acute care hospital with average patient stays of 25 to 30 days, New England Sinai builds longer relationships with patients and families.  Our staff has the unique privilege of administering in-depth care, watching patients regain their quality of life and realizing a second chance at life.  And when recovery is not possible, the extra time and compassion that they are able to give to patients is a real comfort to the staff, knowing that they were able to make a genuine difference in people's lives.

The Sinai Approach to Care

Working as a team, we bring together the tools for success and a thoughtful approach to complex care, for a winning formula that makes up Sinai’s care model. Together, our team of physicians, physician’s assistants, nurses, therapists, and our entire clinical staff develops a carefully orchestrated plan for each patient, with advanced technology that ensures successful outcomes.

Location

New England Sinai encompasses three sites - our main campus in Stoughton; and two satellite campuses at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and Carney Hospital in Dorchester.  It's easy to get to and from these campuses with free parking in Stoughton and the Orange Line right across the street from the Tufts campus.

Career development

At Sinai, we excel when you excel, so fostering professional growth is second nature to our staff.  With professional development, mentoring programs, and department specific resource staff, there is growth opportunity for every career level.

Our rounds include twice monthly grand rounds and weekly pulmonary rounds that teach the entire staff about the ever-changing landscape of acute care.  Sinai also hosts Schwartz Center Rounds - a unique, multidisciplinary session in which caregivers can explore the emotional side of their work.

Our educational opportunities ensure that our staff never stops learning and growing:

  • Ample opportunities to earn continuing education credits right on site
  • Scholarships to nurses seeking advanced degrees
  • A hospital-wide tuition reimbursement program for continuing education
  • Affiliation with Tufts Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine and area colleges and universities, providing an opportunity for Sinai staff to help train the healthcare professionals of tomorrow
