SINAI MEN'S ASSOCIATES HOSTS DAN REA AT PRE-ELECTION TALK NOVEMBER 2
Veteran News Reporter and Commentator Addresses “The Night and Day of Politics”
STOUGHTON, MA — Esteemed veteran journalist and talk show host Dan Rea of WBZ NewsRadio 1030 will discuss “The Night and Day of Politics” on Sunday, November 2 at 9:30 a.m. at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton. Just two days before what may be the most important presidential election of our time, Rea will share his political insights and understanding in a powerful presentation guaranteed to be thought provoking and enlightening.
This special breakfast event is being presented as part of the Sinai Men’s Associates Speakers’ Series. Cost is $10.00 per person, and reservations are required. For reservations people may call (781) 297-1333.
The host of WBZ NewsRadio’s call-in show NightSide airing weeknights from 8 p.m. to midnight, Rea has been covering the local political, economic and social landscape through six presidential administrations. He has interviewed every American president since Gerald Ford and almost single handedly exposed corruption within the Boston office of the FBI. A licensed attorney with a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and Honorary Doctorate Degrees from the University of Massachusetts/Boston and the Massachusetts School of Law, Rea spent 15 years of his 31-year career as an on-air television reporter helping to overturn the wrongful murder conviction of Joe Salvati and three other innocent men. On the same day that he retired from WBZ-TV, Federal District Court Judge Nancy Gertner awarded the framed men and their families more than $101,000,000 in damages. Rea spent his last day on air covering the case in a series of reports.
Rea’s numerous honors include the first Annual Excellence in Journalism Award from the Massachusetts Bar Association; the Silver Shingle Award for Public Service from Boston University School of Law; and the Silver Circle Award for Lifetime Achievement from the New England Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He has done charitable work with the New England Center for Children, the Samaritans, the Pike Institute on Law and Disability at Boston University School of Law, and the Massachusetts Vision Coalition. Rea has written for the Boston Globe, the Washington Post, and Newsweek.
