HEIDI WENNEMER, DO, MA APPOINTED INPATIENT MEDICAL DIRECTOR
OF REHABILITATION AT NEW ENGLAND SINAI HOSPITAL

 

STOUGHTON, MA —Dr. Lawrence S. Hotes, New England Sinai Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, has announced the appointment of Dr. Heidi Wennemer, a board-certified physiatrist and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, as Inpatient Medical Director of Rehabilitation at Sinai’s main campus in Stoughton. “Dr. Wennemer brings a wealth of resources in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. As a highly regarded physiatrist with a sub-specialty in spinal cord injury, she will be an excellent resource for patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders,” he said.

Prior to her appointment at Sinai, Wennemer served as Associate Chief Resident of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Tufts-New England Medical Center, as Physiatrist at Rehab Medical Associates in Braintree and as Staff Physician for Spinal Cord Injury in the VA Medical System. She has published extensively and presented at numerous national conferences on topics relating to physical medicine and rehabilitation. Her faculty appointments include Instructor at Tufts-New England Medical Center in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Instructor at Harvard-Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Wennemer has a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Medical Science from Boston University Medical School. She is a resident of Canton, MA.
