MARK S. FARNUM APPOINTED ASSISTANT CHIEF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT AT NEW ENGLAND SINAI HOSPITAL
STOUGHTON, MA - New England Sinai Chief Medical Officer Lawrence S. Hotes, MD, recently announced the appointment of Mark S. Farnum as Assistant Chief Physician Assistant in making the announcement, Dr. Hotes, noted Farnum’s exceptional performance as Physician Assistant during his twelve year career at Sinai.

medical staff, and his advancement to Assistant Chief reflects
his dedication and long-term commitment to patients and their families,” said
Dr. Hotes.
Prior to his appointment as Physician Assistant at Sinai, Farnum served at Brockton Veteran’s Administration Hospital in a Physician Assistant Clerkship. He is a graduate of Essex Community College in Baltimore, Maryland with an associate degree in Clinical Science in the Physician Assistant Program and holds a bachelor of science degree in health education from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. Farnum is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Physician Assistants. He is a resident of Marshfield, MA.
While a student at Essex, Farnum completed clinical rotations in Ambulatory Medicine at Johns Hopkins and rotations in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology and General Surgery at other Maryland area hospitals. Farnum’s early professional experience includes working as a Health Education Coordinator in the Marshfield and Medway, MA Public Schools, as a Teacher-Trainer at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in Worcester, a Health Educator at the Women, Infants and Children Program in Hyannis, MA and as a Nursing Assistant at Providence Hospital in Holyoke, MA.
