An avid golfer, Elizabeth Simoni took over ownership of Brookmeadow Country Club in 1997 after the death of her husband Frank. They had worked side-by-side to manage the club and other businesses, and both believed strongly in giving back to the community. Intent on fulfilling Frank’s dream to expand the club, Betty added new facilities to Brookmeadow and the club continues to thrive under her leadership. Simoni has been actively involved in helping Sinai make a lasting difference in the lives of patients for 13 years. She served as a member of the Hospital’s Board of Directors for nine years and currently serves as a trustee of the Sinai Hospital Foundation Board.
Founded in October of 2001, the New England Sinai Hospital Foundation was established to serve as the philanthropic arm of New England Sinai Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. The Foundation is committed to raising funds to support New England Sinai Hospital in meeting the health-care needs of its communities, through the development of financial support from individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations.
New England Sinai Hospital is a 212-bed, non-sectarian, not-for-profit, long-term acute-care hospital with its main campus in Stoughton, MA and inpatient satellite units in Boston and Dorchester. Sinai is a teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine. Sinai is recognized as a regional leader in the care of pulmonary, medically complex and acute rehabilitation care.
