Patient Testimonials
What is “Sinai care?” Our patients say it best…
Often critically ill upon admittance, many of our patients credit Sinai care for helping them get back on their feet and back to their lives. Their testimonials speak volumes about our dedication to providing our patients with exceptional, high quality medical care, delivered with warmth and compassion. Because at Sinai, we treat our patients like family.

Eric Hanslip, Southborough, MA
“I was treated like family, 24 hours a day.”
In 2007, Eric Hanslip underwent surgery at an acute care hospital and developed complications that left him unable to swallow. He arrived at Sinai in extremely frail condition; unable to eat or drink and needing mechanical assistance to breathe. His prognosis was very poor. Over the next 13 months, Eric underwent four more surgeries, returning to Sinai after each one to recuperate.
“My friends call me ‘the miracle man,’ because they still cannot believe that I recovered. It was a tough case but the staff at Sinai did so much to pull me through. They treated me as though I was their only patient, always asking if I had any questions and taking their time with me. And even though I was very, very sick, they never stopped encouraging and reassuring me. Thanks to all the care I received from everyone at Sinai ― my doctor, nurses, therapists and even the housekeepers who made up my bed ― I am enjoying my life today. All of them are worth their weight in gold.
“I cannot speak highly enough about the care and genuine concern I received at Sinai. I was treated like family, 24 hours a day. The staff encouraged every bit of progress I made, no matter how small, as if each was a major milestone. I worked very hard and with their help we formed a good partnership, which inspired me to remain motivated for many months.
“Going back to visit the staff when I was finally well and seeing how thrilled and amazed they were was a triumph.”
Thomas Tempesta, Walpole, MA
“I wanted the best and that’s what I got at Sinai.”
“I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I arrived at Sinai on Christmas Eve ―and I couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas present, it was like a miracle. The care was great. It was close to home and my family, and lived up to its reputation. I wanted the best, that’s what I got at Sinai.
After I went home Dr. Heidi Wennemer called to see how I was doing and returning as an outpatient to see Dr. Siddqui was fantastic. The staff are friendly and professional in every possible way from the bottom to the top. They have all been just excellent.”
